Water for Sudan (charity)

Water for Sudan is a blue nail polish with various blue and holographic glitters. $4 from the purchase of each bottle will be donated monthly to the charity organization Water for South Sudan (more info below).

- Best in 2-3 coats depending on application and nail length. Dries textured, use our Glitter Grabber or top coat to smooth and seal.

- Use one of our a base coats to prevent staining, blur visible nail line, and brighten up the color of the polish. Use one of our top coats to seal mani and increase longevity and shine. *all swatch photos shown with polish layered under a glossy top coat*

- This is a 21-free formula (free of 5+ common toxic ingredients often found in mainstream polish including toluene).*

- Each nail polish is created in small batches to ensure freshness and longevity. Due to the handmade nature of this product, slight inconsistencies can be expected.

INSPIRATION

The cause:
"For the third year in a row, Sudan tragically tops the International Rescue Committee’s (IRC) Emergency Watchlist as the country most at risk of new or worsening humanitarian crises. Sudan’s collapse is accelerating due to a catastrophic civil war that has had a devastating impact on civilians.

Even before the war in Sudan erupted in April 2023, the country was already experiencing a severe humanitarian crisis that left 15.8 million people in need of aid. Now, three years of war have drastically worsened these conditions, displacing approximately 14 million people and leaving 33.7 million people—two-thirds of the population—in need of humanitarian support. The country’s food system has been pushed to the brink, with millions of families now surviving on just one meal a day, or less.

Sudan is the largest humanitarian crisis in the world in terms of number of people who need humanitarian aid. It is also the largest and fastest displacement crisis."

"Water for South Sudan began when a Lost Boy from a rural village in southwestern Sudan returned home, only to find his father fighting deadly waterborne parasites.
After seeing his father’s condition, Salva decided to take matters into his own hands and help his community access better water, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
And today, we call this movement Water for South Sudan!"

- Due to shipping constraints, polish can only be shipped via Ground. Rush shipping is not available.

- Sometimes bottles leak slightly during transit- if there is a small amount of polish on the threads of a bottle you receive, that’s normal! Your polish is still completely new and usable.
